Join the support team for The Way Home ! This book was written expressly to bring the Good News to young adults around the world who either have never heard the Gospel, or find themselves lost and spiritually adrift in some way.

Here is “A Word Before,” the preface to the book:

This book is written for those who somehow feel homesick but can’t explain why.

It’s for those wondering if there’s any way that life makes sense. Asking if there’s any purpose, any meaning to life … any real reason to live.

It’s for those who are so often overwhelmed by anxiety and depression that they wonder if they can ever know peace and joy.

It’s for those who have been hurt — perhaps by those who were supposed to love them the most — and doubt whether they can ever be healed and made whole.

It’s for those who have tried so hard to meet seemingly limitless expectations but believe they can never — and so will never — be enough.

It’s for those who can’t make sense of the world and who certainly can’t make sense of its religions.

It’s for those who feel they’re making it through life OK and wonder why, or if, they need God. (And that’s if God even exists.)

It’s for those who find that organized religion — especially in the form they know best — is their biggest barrier to faith.

It’s for those who look around at the suffering and strife everywhere and reasonably ask, “If God is good, why does he allow all of this pain, misery, and hostility?”

It’s for those who feel as though their past — or present — is so bad that God wants nothing to do with them.

It’s for those who once felt like they knew — even walked with — God, but somehow their previous faith seems so distant, and God now feels absent and light-years away.

It’s written for those I love.

It’s written for those who in any way have lost their way and want to find — in the deepest places of their heart and soul — the life they were created for.

I hope and I pray that is what this book will become for you: a map, a manual, a path that will help lead you back to the place you were always meant to be, the place you have always longed for.

So walk with me now, and let’s see if we can’t find the way home.

About the Author

For more than forty years, Stewart Sonneland served in Young Life as both a volunteer and staff member. During that time, Stewart has spoken to, and walked alongside, thousands of young people. In that endeavor, he's worked to help them navigate the difficult waters between adolescence and adulthood, helping them find a personal relationship with their Creator.

Over two years ago, Stewart launched, and now helps lead, a ministry for 18-25 year- olds called The Well. He and his wife Patty of 40 plus years love to travel as well as spend time with their four children and four grandchildren.
